Accent Property Management has scooped three titles at this year’s Negotiator Awards.
The Cambridge-based letting agency – part of Chard Robinson Group up until August of this year – was named winners in the Marketing Team of the Year and Employer of the Year categories. Accent Property Management was also chosen by the panel of judges as Independent Letting Agency of the Year, a title it retains from 2009.
The cream of the crop from every sector of the property industry was honoured at a glittering awards ceremony in London on 10 November, hosted by BBC Scotland’s Fred MacAulay and organised by The Negotiator magazine in association with The Digital Property Group. Other sponsors included Home Move Box, Alan Mead Recruitment Consultants, Virgin Media, Endsleigh and The Property Jungle.
Clare Bettelley, editor of The Negotiator, says: “This year’s event is our biggest and best to date, and the quality of our entrants has been staggering. This is testament to their efforts and those of The Negotiator in continuing to strive to further raise industry standards. The winners of this year’s 17 categories clearly demonstrated to our esteemed panel of judge’s immense professionalism, financial stability and adaptability to the current market volatility – the key attributes that The Negotiator Awards ceremony has been established to celebrate and reward.”
She adds: “The huge success of The Negotiator Awards is why it’s been dubbed the top awards bash of the year, which this year more than 600 guests enjoyed.”
Mark Milner, The Digital Property Group’s chief executive said: “The success of the Negotiator Awards is a testament to on-going excellence within the market, with firms such as Accent Property Management gaining much deserved recognition. It’s a pleasure to celebrate their achievements as well as toast the impressive performance of the estate agency industry in challenging times.”
The trio of trophies brings to a close the chapter in Chard Robinson Group's history that is Accent Property Management’s tremendous success story; founded in 1996 by Group directors Stephen Chard and Neil Robinson, the duo sold the business to the Leaders Limited Group in August of this year, giving Leaders their 46th branch. On the awards ceremony, which they attended, Stephen and Neil said: “We are delighted that Accent Property Management is continuing its tradition for exceptional service provision, with these awards recognising that commitment, as well as the individual contributions of each and every team member during the past twelve months. Having dedicated ourselves to building Accent Property Management over the last 14 years, and worked so closely with the team there in doing so, this is a great way to round off our involvement as we head for pastures new. We wish everyone all the very best for the future.”
Chard Robinson Group itself was also a finalist in the Leader of the Year and Rising Star categories, whilst the Group’s estate and block management company, Encore Estate Management, finished runner-up for Block Manager of the Year and Green Champion.
The judges included distinguished experts such as TV ‘Dragon’ James Khan (entrepreneur and chairman of Look4aproperty), as well as Bill McClintock (CEO, The Property Ombudsman Service) and Miles Shipside (Commercial Director of Rightmove).
